Cultural Tour Nepal: 6 Days Kathmandu Valley Heritage, Nagarkot, and Panauti Tour

You arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our company representative welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel by private vehicle. The short drive gives you a first look at Nepal's capital city, with busy roads, small shops, temple corners, and everyday local life.

After check-in, you can rest from your flight, freshen up, or take a gentle walk around the nearby area. In the evening, your guide explains the daily route, cultural visit order, hotel plan, meal schedule, and transport details, so the first day stays easy and clear after your international flight.

The day begins with breakfast at your hotel before your guide and driver meet you for the first full day of cultural visits. This day covers four major UNESCO World Heritage Sites: 

• Swayambhunath: Also known as the Monkey Temple, it sits on a hilltop with wide city views. You will see Buddhist shrines, prayer flags, small stupas, and local worshippers.
• Kathmandu Durbar Square: It shows the old royal side of the capital through palace courtyards, carved windows, stone temples, and Newari architecture.
• Pashupatinath Temple: This religious site introduces Nepal's Hindu culture, with rituals, pilgrims, sadhus, and the sacred Bagmati River area. 
• Boudhanath Stupa: It offers a calm Buddhist setting with prayer wheels, monasteries, butter lamps, monks, and people walking around the large white stupa.

The exact visiting order will be planned after you decide on a hotel. Whether you stay at Soaltee Hotel, Gokarna Forest Resort, or a similar hotel, your guide and driver will follow the most practical route to reduce backtracking and keep the day comfortable.

Your guide and driver meet you at the hotel after breakfast for another full day of cultural visits around the valley. The day includes Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Changu Narayan Temple before the drive continues to Nagarkot. 

In Patan Durbar Square, you will explore royal palace courtyards, fine stone temples, carved wooden windows, master-level metalwork, and historic Newar lanes. Bhaktapur Durbar Square gives you a more traditional, timeless town feel with its brick-paved streets, pottery-making squares, old houses, and open courtyards. 

From there, Changu Narayan Temple introduces you to one of the oldest temple settings in Nepal, filled with ancient stone inscriptions, old shrines, and a quiet hilltop atmosphere. After finishing your cultural visits, you will drive up to Nagarkot, a famous hill station renowned for its Himalayan views, where you check in and relax for the evening.

Your morning begins early with a spectacular sunrise view right over the ridges of Nagarkot. On a clear morning, the majestic Himalayan range unfolds right before your eyes, offering a peaceful start to your day before breakfast. 

After breakfast, your driver takes you toward Panauti. This is another historic Newar town known for traditional houses, carved wooden windows, old temples, local festivals, and rich cultural traditions. 

Later, you continue to Namo Buddha, Nepal's important Buddhist pilgrimage site. The monastery sits on a quiet hilltop with prayer flags, valley views, and peaceful surroundings. You can walk around the monastery area, observe monks in their daily routine, and learn about the well-known Buddhist story of compassion linked with this sacred place.

After a relaxed morning near Namo Buddha, you start the return journey toward the capital. Your drive first takes you through Dhulikhel, a hill town known for countryside views, old settlements, terraced fields, and mountain scenery on clear days. 

You can stop briefly in Dhulikhel to enjoy the quiet hill setting and take photos if the weather is good. Along the way, the road gives you a softer look at local life outside the city, with small villages, farms, and open ridgelines.

Before returning to Kathmandu, you visit Nala Gumba, another peaceful Buddhist monastery away from the busy city areas. After the visit, you drive back to your destination, check in at your hotel, and enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening.

Your final morning stays easy and relaxed at the hotel. If your flight leaves later in the day, you can rest, finish packing, or take a short walk near the hotel before the airport transfer. 

At the scheduled time, our team picks you up and transfers you to Tribhuvan International Airport by private vehicle. The drive usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
