Bardiya National Park Tour – 6 Days

Your tour begins at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our team meets you at the arrival area, helps with your luggage, and transfers you to your hotel by private vehicle.

After hotel check-in, you get time to rest and freshen up after your flight. If you arrive early, you enjoy a short walk around the nearby area, exchange money, or buy any missing travel items.

In the evening, your guide gives a short tour briefing. You go through domestic flight timing, luggage notes, jungle activity rules, weather details, and the full travel plan toward Nepalgunj and Bardiya.

After breakfast, you leave your hotel and head to the domestic airport for your flight to Nepalgunj. The short flight takes you from Kathmandu’s valley scenery to the warm plains of western Nepal.

Once you land in Nepalgunj, the journey continues by private vehicle toward Bardiya National Park. The road passes lowland towns, farms, forest edges, and quiet village areas before you reach your jungle lodge near the park.

After check-in, you take time to rest and settle into the peaceful surroundings. Later, your guide takes you for a short Tharu village walk. There, you see local houses, farmland, community life, and the quiet lifestyle around the national park buffer zone.

Your first full day in Bardiya focuses on nature, wildlife, and local culture. You enter Bardiya National Park with a trained naturalist guide and follow safe jungle trails through forest, grassland, and riverside areas. The guide helps you notice small details, including bird calls, animal tracks, fresh footprints, and signs of movement around the jungle.

You’ll quietly track deer, monkeys, wild boar, birds, and watch for signs of larger animals such as rhinos, elephants, and Royal Bengal tigers. During the heat of the afternoon, you’ll rest at a jungle watchtower called Machan. From there, you safely watch the water areas where animals often come to drink.

On the return walk near the park entry point, you visit the Crocodile Breeding Center, where you observe gharial and marsh mugger crocodile conservation. After that, you explore the Tharu Museum to understand the lifestyle, tools, dress, farming culture, and traditional homes of the local Tharu community.

This day brings a more open and wide-ranging safari experience in Bardiya National Park. You travel by jeep through forest tracks, grassland sections, and riverside areas that show the park from a different angle. This drive lets you cover more distance and reach deeper viewing zones that are harder to explore on foot.

As the jeep moves through the park, your guide helps you scan the surroundings carefully. You spend time near grassland and river areas, where deer, monkeys, wild boar, and many bird species are often seen. If luck supports the day, you also get a chance to spot larger wildlife from a safe distance.

The afternoon brings a calm boat ride on the Karnali River. This river area is known for its quiet beauty, birdlife, and wide natural scenery near Bardiya. After the ride, you return to the lodge and enjoy a Tharu cultural program, where local music, dance, and community stories add a warm cultural ending to the day.

Your final morning in Bardiya begins at a slower pace. After tea or breakfast, you take a short birdwatching walk around the lodge area, village edge, or nearby natural zone with your guide.

This peaceful morning gives you one last chance to enjoy the sounds of the Terai jungle. You watch open fields, trees, and water edges where birds often move during the early hours.

After the morning activity, you drive back to Nepalgunj Airport and fly to Kathmandu. Once you land, our team transfers you to your hotel, and the rest of the day stays open for rest, packing, or a short walk around the city.

Your final morning in Kathmandu gives the tour a gentle close. You finish your breakfast, check your bags, and spend the remaining time resting or walking around the area as per your flight schedule.
