05:30 AM - 06:30 AM: Hotel Pickup and Airport Transfer
Your tour begins with an early pickup from your hotel. A private vehicle transfers you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport.
Once there, the flight team assists with check-in, document verification, and basic preparation before the flight. Carry your passport and booking details, as airport staff may check them before boarding.

06:30 AM - 07:00 AM: Flight Preparation and Safety Briefing
Before boarding, the crew explains the flight route, safety rules, seat arrangement, and landing process. This briefing helps you understand what to do during takeoff, landing, and high-altitude stops.
Once the helicopter is ready, you board with a small day bag and essential items. Heavy luggage is not allowed because the helicopter's space is limited.

07:00 AM - 08:00 AM: Helicopter Flight to Lukla
The helicopter takes off and heads east toward the Everest region. As the city fades behind, the flight crosses green hills, terraced fields, river valleys, and remote settlements.
On the way, you may see areas such as Dolakha, Jiri, and Lamjura-La before the rugged Himalayan terrain starts to appear. The aircraft then lands at Lukla, the gateway to Everest and a widely known mountain airport.

08:00 AM - 08:15 AM: Refueling Stop at Lukla
The helicopter stops at Lukla for a quick refueling break. This pause gives the crew time to prepare the aircraft for the higher section toward Kala Patthar.
During the short stop, you can enjoy views of Lukla Airport and the surrounding Sherpa settlement while the helicopter is refueled.

08:15 AM - 08:30 AM: Fly Toward Kala Patthar
From Lukla, the flight continues deeper into the Khumbu region. The route passes above Sherpa villages, ridges, monasteries, valleys, glaciers, and prayer-flag-covered hillsides.
As you climb higher, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam come into view. The pilot may point out major landmarks before the helicopter reaches the area near Kala Patthar.

08:30 AM - 08:45 AM: Kala Patthar Landing
The helicopter lands near Kala Patthar, a prime landmark for Mount Everest. At around 5,545m / 18,192ft, this is the highest point of the tour.
You have around 10 to 15 minutes to enjoy panoramic Himalayan views, take photographs, and experience iconic viewpoints in the Everest region. The stay is limited because of the extreme altitude, so walk slowly and follow the pilot's instructions.

08:45 AM - 09:00 AM: Fly to Everest View Hotel
Leaving Kala Patthar, the helicopter descends toward Syangboche and Everest View Hotel. The route passes over Gorak Shep, monasteries, chortens, Sherpa settlements, and deep mountain valleys.
This lower-altitude stop gives you a safer and more comfortable place to relax after the high-altitude landing. On clear days, Everest and nearby peaks remain visible during the descent.

09:00 AM - 09:30 AM: Breakfast at Everest View Hotel
Breakfast is served at Everest View Hotel, a famous high-altitude hotel in Nepal. The setting gives you wide views of Everest and the surrounding peaks while you enjoy a warm meal.
This break offers time to relax, enjoy breakfast, and admire the Himalayan surroundings before the return journey. You can relax, take photos, and enjoy the mountain setting before the return flight.

09:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Fly Back to Lukla
After breakfast, the helicopter returns to Lukla for another quick refueling stop. The return route gives you one more aerial view of glaciers, ridges, villages, and mountain valleys.
This section feels calmer as the aircraft gradually moves away from the highest mountains. Still, the views remain clear and impressive when the weather is stable.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Return Helicopter Flight to Kathmandu and Hotel Drop-off
The final flight takes you from Lukla back to Kathmandu. As the aircraft leaves the Everest region, the environment changes from snow peaks to green hills and city views.
After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, a private vehicle transfers you back to your hotel. This completes the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour in around 5 hours.
